If I was given the magical power to eliminate one thing from this world, it would have to be children’s illness. Try instead to use ‘completely’, ‘utterly’, to break the repetition and stop annoying your readers and listeners. Inserting [totally different] similar words that mean the same as more commonly used words can actually [totally] get the attention of others much more effectively [totally] than continual [total] repetition. Get the drift? The idea? The concept? The symbolic abstraction? So why don’t you try it out the next time you write something. Just pick one word [that you perhaps over used] and look up the synonyms and see about doing an imaginative rewrite to create something totally better.
